When we look at a completed bar and its volume (in whatever timeframe), we are analysing 'what price has done'- 'on that amount of volume' .
(volume is considered a measure of activity, and also a measure of force)
At the time of the open there has been no trading done yet, so no importance is given to its position in VSA or Wyckoff analysis.
(perhaps it can be argued that for some trading purposes, the open may be of interest, even when using VSA Wyckoff)

The open is more important to some of the traditional Technical Analysis methods, as it is used in the calculation of quite a few indicators they use, which is why it is always shown on commercial charting software.

There are no mathematical formulas used in VSA Wyckoff analysis, so it is not needed for the analysis of "what price did, on a certain amount of volume"
(actually come to think of it, there is one mathematical formula I can think of, the average line on the volume histogram uses a mathematical formula, but apart from that....... haha)

    hopefully that helps anyway........

    cheers
