I heard somewhere recently an interesting example - think it might have been Roger Montgomery talking about Electric Vehicles - There was no doubt, when the automobile was invested it changed the world. An entire industry was born and others decimated within one generation. That being said, hundreds if not thousands of companies have started and failed since that industry begun with only few surviving the test of time. It would have been a very luck or astute investor to pick one which actually provided a good ROI back in 1905.

Sometimes even if you have really good knowledge, insight or conviction that a sector or industry will be the 'next big thing' its tough or impossible to calculate the odds or gain insight into what company will ride that wave and turn a profit.

If and when medicinal cannabis is more mainstream in Australia there will no doubt be money to be made. Will TWH/AusCann be there, exploiting the opportunity in 1, 2, 10 years time - who knows. For now, not a place I want to park my money and speculate on.

Well said. Not a dud acquisition but not for me and even if it was lithium pegmatites in the Pilgangoora, the vendor terms are too high imo.
