    I suppose the ounces versus Troy ounces for most explorers is a big error but only because most companies are struggling with 3 g per tonne grades not 181 g per tonne.

    For future reference Poor a down and dirty assessment to calculate the contained gold in a drill report I've always used is one cubic metre equals 1.5 tons. Therefore if you're trying to work out how much gold do the cubic measurements multiply by the contained gold in the assay and that gives you some idea of the expected output.

    Est in that hole in the strike is 4m x 4m = 16 x 1.5 x 181 = 4344 g

    This is still going to be wrong because not all dirt weighs the same but might be a useful rule of thumb for the future and a way to guesstimate contained ore in a strike.
