I sold out of SKF for a small loss a couple of months ago. I don't think it is a bad business in any way, but I thought there were better opportunities elsewhere, and despite numerous emails and a phone call I was never able to get in touch with SKF management which left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.

I just had a read of this announcement and I can't shake the feeling of management that I had already - and that is one that really doesn't care about retail investors. That by itself is not a make or break thing for me, I have been invested and am currently invested in similar companies that don't provide much if any support for retail investors.

I am sure the management of SKF are working hard behind the scenes. I've seen Wayne interview on Foxtel and he seemed pretty genuine. For me this announcement hides behind the reason of reducing sophisticated and institutional investors uncertainty, but is likely just a way for those in charge to ensure they still get a decent earn-out with revenue likely coming in less than expected. Don't forget this is a company who managed to raise at 22c a few months ago which was a premium to the share price at the time. Where was the uncertainty then?

We are still yet to hear anything about the US or substantial European expansion which I am sure was a part of their initial earn-out calculations. I may be wrong, but I just can't shake the feeling that revenue is disappointing against projections (share price reflects this!) and this is a last ditch cash grab for those in charge.

I genuinely hope those still holding do well out of SKF. I keep it on a watchlist and to be honest I am tempted to buy back in at these prices, but if I do it will definitely be after the next quarterly.
