My suspicions as well. On 1st December there was a late in the session options line wipe @ .02. (vol. 36m). Today just 14 days later there is a rout producing a burgeoning sell stack left to face an almost vacant buy side in the options. Can anyone make credible sense of this? The common thread running through all this the total information shut down from above. Perhaps this could be an opener for an explanation.
