As with ALL so called alternative green energy components they would not exist without government subsidies
Some greenie government representative gets all warm and cozy about how he/she is saving the world from itself and has no compunction about using taxpayers funds to do so and when they are not enough they put the taxes up
It may be a booming industry because that is what the manufactures want you to hear so they can get your money, but it is a long way from being an answer to the failure of solar and wind fans to produce sufficient energy to satisfy the need
