A closer look at the science of MFCs and EBRs.

    Well.... the company name EMEFCY is rather self explanatory, and borrows from the acronym for Microbial Fuel Cell.  Another element of the tech is the  EBR which stands for Electrogenic Bio Reactor.  This is cutting edge stuff  and I am digging deep into the tech to understand it better, beyond EMEFCYs excellent presentation material

    Whilst the Israelis are due kudos for commercialising this application, the suggestion that it is an Israeli technology is less accurate.  In looking closer  I came across the body of work done by Penn State University under Professor of Envoronmental Engineering, Bruce Logan.  I was struck by the similarity of some of EMEFCYs process elements to Penn's, so it comes as no surprise to learn that Bruce Logan is/was employed by Emefcy as an advisor.
