I have the greatest respect for the people who control this company. They are top business operators which are very long track record.
I just refuse to believe that they would overpay when coal is on its knees. I think they bought a great asset very cheap, and if the coal market ( as they obviously think it will) turns, it will be an absolute steal.
Your statement " ran out of time sitting on the cash " makes no sense at all.
To me this acquisition is a major signal----Coal is not dead, not by a long shot. Most share price movements are about shorting and manipulation, and its hard to know what's real. I can tell you , a conservative company such as this is, paying big money for a Coal asset, is real, and very encouraging.
