Not at all, I actually harbour no fears for the U.S. economy. If anything my concerns lie on the Chinese side of the equation, but those are less than you may have deduced from my musings.
All I know is that China and other EM's have been liquidating the FX reserves. I'm simply trying to follow the money and find some profitable trade opportunities from it.
This thread has been an offshoot from the xso thread where we like to discuss macro dynamics as well as small individual stocks. Here it's all about mid->large caps. There is no real reason why I raised this topic here rather than xso, was just by chance. We are certainly not the foil hat brigade over here, so please don't feel you have been lured over to discuss gold or end of the world etc. If have the time or inclination, please read the posts over the last month or two and you'll likely find some thought provoking topics.
You mentioned that August afforded you some great opportunities. What are you buying??
