The WEC "works"? They successfully launched one into protected waters. How much electricity did the unit actually produce (I note the video says a single unit is "expected" to produce, so the rated capacity appears still to be an un-validated claim)? Its a real pity they don't publish any performance data, it would help to generate more investor interest I'm sure (if the performance data is good). Unfortunately without performance data its all just slick advertising.
Imagine an O&G company issuing an announcement (complete with slick promo video) announcing that they "successfully" drilled a well, and "expected" to produce 10,000 bopd, but didn't provide any data on production rates or any well data at all? What value would there be in that announcement?
I am still struggling to understand how this technology is going to be viable - I've read everything the company has published and not found any data on technical performance, cost structure, sales projections or profitability. How as an investor do you assess whether this is a good investment?
Cheers, Sharks.
