There is some news making headline this morning that Shell may move on $60bn BG Group

Royal Dutch Shell is in talks to acquire BG Group, according to people familiar with the matter.
BG, a gas producer, has a market capitalization of £31 billion ($A60.2bn), meaning a deal for the company would be one of the year's biggest.
Interesting, we can see now why Shell did NOT go ahead and build your own plant at Gladstone, when you can buy a ready made / operational one, and expand it. Ohhhh what a wonderful world when you have $60B AUD to go out and buy toys.
What does this mean for the CB guys. I think its great news. Shell's gas now destined for export via Gladstone and NOT stranded flooding the domestic market. Which free's up the likes of DLS and SXY and even STX to get their gas into domestic markets at good future prices. not to mention Santos still need to buy more gas for its Export plant at Gladstone. This is good news for CB minnows IMO. I hope this Shell / BG deal goes ahead.
