They have not built it yet as we still live in the stone age and use fire to boil water to turn turbines but at least that keeps the coal miners happy and the government happy with the taxes.
South western QLD Northern SA, Western NSW, Eastern or Northern WA would be a good place to put it.
Your argument will now be but noone lives there do they ?
Why do they not live there ?
No electricity or infrastructure
Ever Heard of a place called Las Vegas or Arizona ?
It was infrastructure free at one point in time too but then they built the Hoover Dam and the area became viable due to the cheap cost of renewable electricity produced.
Yes the dam cost a fortune to build but it will be around for the next 200 or 300 years doing its job now won't it.
It is not only about scale, some foresight is also required.
The 10 warmest years in the instrumental record, with the exception of 1998, have now occurred since 2000. This trend continues a long-term warming of the planet, according to an analysis of surface temperature measurements by scientists at NASA's Goddard Institute of Space Studies (GISS) in New York.Jan 16, 2015
Do you deny that this is occurring ?
Shame that fossil fuels are destroying the planet in the process but at your age I guess you don't care for that fact.
I'm sure that you most likely have grandchildren or even great grand children who in turn will most likely have their own children.
Do you not wish for a quality of life for them that is at least at the same or greater than that in which you lived ?
