There's something not right about it, I agree, Greedy, ASX disclosures and listing rules are almost as old and ancient as the chalk boards that they used to have. No wonder the ASX lags all other major securities exchanges, it is probably why Australia ranks very low on global transparency and corruption indexes where the population, business respondents, rate the amount of transparency in the country, IMHO, media thinks it is NSW that people refer to but I am unsure whether the rest of the country cares about NSW corruption that is now over three years old. The TEN episode hardly supports investor confidence. If there aren't any laws to infringe, the protagonists can't be breaking the law IMHO.
