The mkt is starting to knock FDC down, so there is a gathering impression that we do not do well in this deal.
Its sad that FDC mgmt have not just said NO, "for the time being we are working on getting the company business model sorted out"; they have a clear strategy of lowering risk by joining with other partners, and implimenting a big refurbishment program; they have also been making new acquisitions, and all up have been steadily and quietely defining the brand. Now all of this appears to go out the window; FDC is for sale; we get no message on where the brand will go, where the strategy will go, all we get is uncertainty. I am very unconvinced that this move is in my best interest as a share holder of FDC, and so is the rest of the mkt. Placate me, somebody.
