How can you possible say trading CFDs is no different from trading shares, they are nothing like shares. CFD the trade never touches the real market. When you buy/sell CFD's you are buying/selling against the broker. You lose they win, they play the game to win better then you or anyone else since they deal the deck. And like any Casino see far more losers come through the doors then winners.

Also with CFDs is interest is calculated on the entire value of your CFD positions daily. With a margin loan, you only pay interest on the loan, not the increasing share position values.

CFDs are extremely highly leveraged and extreme high risk. Wouldn't touch them even with monopoly money. The leverage is so great it only takes a few bad trades to wipe out your capital.

CFDs are criminal and sucker in inexperienced traders/investors, they should be banned from ASX just as they are from almost every other market.
