That's the kicker right there Catweasle.... it's hard enough for one company to try and make money from Iron, let alone 2 in a deal like this.
It all sounds good and convenient(which it is), but only if the IO price is right. As it happens, its not. I can't imagine the price Arrium can pay will be more than IFE's C1 costs to produce.
A friend of mine (within Arrium) tells me Arrium are screaming for more ore. Hopefully if the price (ever) returns, this could be a good thing; can't see it being anytime soon though....
