santos - not welcome in northwest nsw

Santos-Not welcome in NorthWest NSW - But Welcome in Meridan

There is a big full page Advertisment in to days AFR about how Santos's CSG operations and their future plans are not welcome in the Pilliga region of North Western NSW.

It seems that any CSG operation in NSW is just toooooo difficult!!...For those with long memories who remember the ASX listed Sydney Gas Company...(SGC) this was also the case. Public opposition and other financial matters and mismanagement sent them under and to be eventually sold to AGL (AGK) for a big discount. (a big discount for the times 2005/2006 and in comparison to the other Queensland based CSG entities)

Anyway - Santos as a partner / big brother for WCL at Meridan and at their other tenements is, i would think, very much welcome indeed!!

Santos - should EXIT NSW CSG (for now) and focus attention with the likes of Westside and they together should cut a few more deals to create value for all concerned.
