John Hancock | Consultant

John Hancock is an Australian National and will consult to The Lind Partners with regard to capital raising and investments in the Australian resources sector. Mr Hancock has held positions at Iscor Mining and Steel (South Africa), Hancock Prospecting (Director) and is currently a non-executive Director of Volta Mining (ASX:VTM) . Mr Hancock has over 20 year’s experience in the resources industry (iron ore), financial markets, public relations and capital raising. In his role at Hancock Prospecting Mr Hancock introduced the Hope Downs Iron Ore Project at the Global Iron Ore and Steel Conference in Berlin 1997, and went on to gain operational and marketing experience at both successive JV partners to the project- Iscor and Rio Tinto. Hope Downs now produces over 30 million tonnes of iron ore per annum with annual revenues approximately $3b. Mr Hancock has run a private fund for 15 years, with trading and investment experience in the resources sector, currencies and derivatives.
