Indonesian national elections are to be held on 9th April. It will then take around 10 days for a result.

Then the big one all are waiting on being the Presidential election with the Jakarta Governor Jokowi Purnomo the front runner by a country mile and no wonder. He is so far removed from the disgusting corrupt individuals now in control of Indonesia at every level. Clearly a man of honour and principle and prepared to take on corruption head on for the betterment of ALL Indonesians without self interest.

In around a months time we should be getting near a close on the elections. If Jokowi gets in the new broom will start sweeping clean almost immediately is my guess.

If I am wrong and the Golkar Party get in with Bakrie elected president the reverse will happen and the Suharto days are likely to return. The most corrupt province of all being Banten in West Java being a stronghold of the Golkar Party. With the Banten governor and her whole family in front of the KPK crime and corruption commission. She is the most self serving disgusting individual you could imagine. Billions of $USD taken by her and her family that literally control every aspect of the province, whilst the people they have the worst infrastructure you could imagine. She makes Imelda Marcos seem like a saint in comparison.

Pray Golkar and Bakrie don't get elected, I know expats here are. Bakrie is a corrupt individual that openly displays his dislike for expats and international companies, all under the guise of "nationalism"....read: lining his own pockets.

The current national government has been proven so corrupt now they won't stand a chance IMO.

All QPN holders should take note and watch closely. IMO you can forget about any ann until well after the elections.
