Googling "Stirling Global Value Fund Inc" - Bermuda, yields nothing.
Googling "Gordon Flatt" Bermuda reveals a 50 year old who probably looks after a number of postbox companies supposedly resident offshore on the island.
Whoever is behind that 'fund' has shelled out in region of AUD 115m upwards.
I'd guess a trader - I can't see a company like MRO acting through a Bermuda based fund. Baytex would possibly court heaps of trouble if it purchased AUT shares at a price higher than its offer price.
I expect that it is worth hanging on to see if that trader has got it right.
