There is a salient lesson in History here that people really ought to know about. It will never make our news because the "leaders" of the nation are full steam ahead in destroying the country. Not just the current mob either.

The reason for this post from an even so long ago is for people to understand that Australian law is subordinate to the laws of China. No need to believe me. Look at what happened to Sundance (SDL).

Read the bidders statement when you have time and understand that in the event of conflict, the final approval required comes from Beijing. That is AFTER the "FOREIGN - whatever that means these days; INVESTMENT - should read ownership; REVIEW - should be reworded Preview; BOARD!

The government that the people get is the government that the people let rule them. THEY WORK FOR US. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

Same as some "directors" that can only direct their way from the chair to the restaurant.

Last bit: They try to not let people know that the owners of the major shareholding (Rio no less) were very quick to offload a very small investment to Chinese nationals. It didn't seem to matter that a lot of shareholders were torched and their value went up in smoke.
