re: aim/artical Having been a long term holder of VTI and having faith in the product itself I must admit to not having much faith in the directors.
They have consistently looked after themselves very well but not the shareholders.
The product itself appears to be world class but after 5-6 years of proving it with numerous tests to be effective where are we now in terms of profitable contracts.
NOWHERE!!!
Then to make it worse they undertake to do a test at I99 which they didn't think would work effectively anyway as it was nothing like they had done before.
At one stage I was over $50,000 in profit but instead of selling I held on to my shares in the belief that it was only a drop in the bucket compared to the potential value of them.
Now the profit has shrunk to about $9,000 and going downhill fast.
More fool me you might say and you wouldn’t be far wrong.
I believe that after years of disappointment for Australian share holders that they have found a whole new market (AIM) to exploit.
They have proven the technology to the U.S. EPA over 5 years with the Gilt Edge Mine and got their approval, but still nothing has come of it in the way of a single decent profitable contract.
This begs the question why!
Is it incompetence or a lack of business sense or ability.
At the rate they are going in another 5 years they will still be doing tests for virtually nothing and the share price will stagnate or go downhill further.
I don’t know what the answer is but I don’t think the directors know either.
If this sounds like sour grapes it is, and reflects my growing feelings that with the way they are conducting the business it may never reach it's full potential.
Sadly what with the world's growing shortage of fresh clean water and demand for it I am coming to think that VTI may not be the answer.
