opportunity for gas play, page-4

re: gas play-informed rumour or ramping? Read your 3 posts with interest, Robbo, and assumed pub talk should be ignored. But then 3 things caught the eye when I researched this company.
1) The appointment of Roger Whyte about 6 months ago sugggests a change of company direction, since, to quote their pen-picture, he is an experienced oil and gas exploration and production manager... and explorationist... with ability to make in-depth assessments in the petroleum sector;
2) Whyte has been steadily accruing shares in the co. and, at last reports, now owns 1.75 million;
3) the decision to allow option holders to convert into shares at no cost- on a 1:6 basis- could be a bad sign. Perhaps it hints that nothing will happen over the next 6 months to encourage the conversion of the options. But it could also suggest that something is happening soon e.g a share restructure and associated capital raising . Now a 1 for 1 at 20 cents would bring in over $10 million and still leave the company with a manageable no. of shares ( about 110 million?)
Of course they need a good announcement to encourage people to exercise their rights and ,if it is gas leases in the US, then now is the time to get the ball rolling while prices and interest are high.
So Robbo, easy to see why the rumours are circulating. This company has been virtually a shell for most of this year so about time something happened. But whether it backs up your claims of a possible doubling in share price, well, that is ramping!
