Yeah ,they were the days Ewere!
I had lots of Hair .. most of my engineering and Geo mates at Uni did as well ..We also had balls, not sure how many have them at the moment!
I remember the Nickel plays in the early 70's. Those were the days.
It's all changed now. The market is what it is!
We have to live with it, until the regulators wake up...that's another story.
The Greenies will do what they do ad infinitum ..especially the rabid diehards. We all know that, however their minority influence is being severely tested at this point in history.
They are inconsequential in the scheme of human urbanisation. That's how it is ..the developing nations that want to emulate the western standards in lifestyle do not give a stuff about about the greens or their self centred do good imposition on the vast majority of the earths populous.
Are we going to stop the Chinese/Indian/African budding middle class educated population train from ruling the roost over the next century.. I hardly think so.
Are the greens going to stop the growth in population in these areas ..I hardly think so!
What will all these new inhabitants and middle class aspirants want? ..Energy!
The world population is growing exponentially. They will need a massive amount of food and energy.
They will want it at the cheapest rate possible over the next 25-50 years ..this means coal/Oil/Gas until it runs out.
So the "undeveloped" masses will want to sell their cheap resources to engender their prosperity for whatever reason ... no matter what the cost.
Back to Oil shales .. the Qld greens will have a very hard time proffering their wares without a Labour minority government backing.
It's about bloody time in my opinion.
There are a lot of disadvantaged people out there that could benefit from the Oil and Gas potential of the QLD Oil shales .. including the tax payers in QLD.
Why is Oil Shale OK in
China/Russia/Brazil/Estonia/Israel/Morocco/Jordan/Canada/Norway/USA .. but not in Oz?? It is now OK in QLD. Thank you CN for recognising the industry...and as special thanks to Bob Katter in our areas.
The Reason has previously been the various political agenda's in QLD...but that is my opinion.
Anyway, on with the reality now.
I remember the famous by Don Chipp (ex leader of the Australian democrats) quote .."KEEP THE BASTARDS HONEST ".
What I was alluding to was to let the global Oil Shale players know what is happening in the QLD Oil sphere...not the detractors.
Providing all the necessary regulations set currently by the Mines department in QLD, including native title compliance and landowner agreements and other environmental authority authorisations conform within the guidelines ,the QLD Oil shale industry can once again flourish with certainty.
I am very happy with the progress made by us very recently. You may read about it one day soon. As you say,
keep it prudent!
The Bastards will never get to me .. I am very familiar with eating LARD sandwiches a very long time ago.
It's about getting this well know resource into production.. for the Nations benefit ..but most importantly to reward the long term believers and investors..my God there have been many casualties over the last 40 years from what I can see!!
The main thing is to get this industry moving in QLS and ASAP.. no matter where the Oil Shale is...It's always been a national strategic resource in a lot of countries and Australia is not excluded from that descriptor.
You Maths are reality ,EWERE, it's just that the vast majority of the investors these days do not understand it.
Just keep an eye out for developments with the very few players in the game in QLD.
Cheers,
HR
No advice given or intended .. just my position and not my ill informed private investment in the game.
So I can only advise a no position and no stock held stance from where I sit...however I think Oil shales players in QLD will soon gain the long overdue momentum they deserve.
