Papier mache - egg cartons!! Oh how the mighty have fallen.

PPY will apparently supply their “[Walkamin] existing equipment, site, intellectual property and know-how”. “Know-how”(!!!) that’s a bit of a laugh: I’m not sure they know how to do anything.

Looks like Ramy’s off on a wild goose chase to China to find a banana mincing machine.

Old true believers will remember how PPY’s grand strategy was to be a technology licencing company- no grubby manufacturing for this company- now all we have is a 25% stake in a prospective papier mache plant, and are giving away of the so-called intellectual property (that has never turned a buck anyway). How far away now, seem the ideas of banana paper revolutionising the fibre industry, and up-market banana veneers covering Jaguar car dashboards and premium door skins and all the rest.

I hope they aren’t seriously thinking that they can veneer the banana tree trunks using the beta machine and then mash those up and spit out papier mache moulded products profitably….???
