Just had a chat to an analyst you had had a buy recommendation on CDA for a the past 12 months. Firstly he is retaining his buy on the stock (but did counter with the fact he is meeting with management next week and it may change).
His comments on the results are:
- management have always been relatively conservative in their forecasts and are possibly a bit more so now given the slower 2H of FY13 (and after stating in the 1H results that 2H would be as good)
- he agrees there were no surprises and if anything believe there was a bit of speculating on the go in the sp that has given raise to the 20% drop.
- based on what he knows he is retaining is FY14 forecast of 21c and FY15 of 27c
- AUD weakness will also bode well for the FY14 result
As soon as I have his post-management meeting recommendation I will update the forum
for what it is worth
