This company has been stagnant for so long I simply want nothing more than my initial investment back so happy to accept any favourable outcome right now.

Something else to consider with this compensation case.
If NTM receive monies from the NT Govt for lost opportunities does that, by extension, open the door for Gemco to also claim compensation given they have the surrounding seabed leases?

I don't know the answer but it could be another motivator for Gemco to move on NTM now and thereby wait for the Gov't to hopefully change it's position on future mining of the seabed as suggested in an earlier post
