From a marketing perspective, they are right to hold back a little in this area. While there is confidence in the M1 production, they are better off not announcing to the world until all tests have been completed and the logistics nailed down, otherwise the old egg will be smeared nicely across the old noggin if something falls through, which would really damage the SP.
I think they are playing this smart and only drip feeding snippets to the media like in the Melbourne Herald Sun the other week. Nice article, but only dealt with high level facts.

Its a bit like if Ford announced a brand new model then realised they dont have the production line set up to manufacture it, would be embarrassing.
