Bit of Palta stuff on the Win thread but I will post this here.

Dude 342 posted this link from Cott. It contained an Independent Geologists Report which included a report on Palta, page 15 on.
It is worth a read. Supposedly the prospective reservoir is the Lower Permian Chinty formation which is below the Mungaroo?

It makes very strange reading and challenges a lot of what I had understood about this area.
It also sounds quite improbable to me but my knowledge is very limited.

Notwithstanding Shell ran 3d over this prospect and may have a different interpretation.

Whatever it is deep and highly unlikely that there would be oil as I understand it.
