Sorry missed your question ChrisWR - motivation to sell, I suspect, with holders of shell companies is usually that there is no allegiance to the new business. Moreover, they either got set really cheaply or got burned with that previous business and just want out - either way they are looking for quick cash and just want to move on. To get out they need volume (e.g. good news or anticipation of good news). Surely PU isn't liking this but that's what you inherrit with a shell company. Not convinced this overhang will be gone soon.
