On HC there is a much chat about a lot of stocks about 'manipulation'. A lot of posters make the comment that the chat is by paranoid traders unwilling to take responsibility for their actions. That sort of comment is fair enough.
However, in terms of the role of the stockmarket as a secondary market for raising capital the proliferation of High Speed, Computer Trading and so called Exotic Derivative trading may, in my humble opinion, see the demise of the stock market for the purpose it was originally designed for and served the economy for so long.
