Mrnuddles, I'll give you my take on this little junior that I really like. I invest in many companies, with large cash reserves, solid management, great prospects and a good track record.
Our chairman is the top dog of Palladin and has enormous pull in the resource sector but most importantly has his wallet deep within Ashburton Minerals. I'm always cautious when senior management, directors or the like have no skin in the game. All senior management have their wallets deep into the business. ?????? Management have been looking for this type of discovery for a long time. Always remember that juniors are juniors because they haven't yet made the big discovery.
So we find a chunk of land that hasn't been drilled or well looked at from a geology point of view, fly a chopper over it with superb technology that wasn't around many, many years ago and find that we have a possible major target to explore via drilling.
We flew the chopper over the area and we found proof that the target is there to be drilled. Any geologist seeing this gets a little excited to say the least when the professionals agree in writing as stated in the announcement.
Sirius Resources that is drilling nearby has had some excellent results sending the share price from 5 cents to $5.00 in a short period. From memory they have 250 million shares on issue. (I could be wrong), so if we copied what they have clearly demonstrated, we would be valued in the hundreds of millions, possibly low billions. They have further drilling to do and further massive targets to hit. (possibly)
Ashburton were unsuccessful in Indonesia due to many reasons that I'd say were due the seller of this area feeding us absolute bull shtt. The geology looked potentially excellent but the drill confirmed it had been raped by the locals and the bags we saw in the photos must have been planted full of gold to get our cash. If that site had been fruitful, we would be sitting around $0.60 by now for sure. If failed and we are where we are.
If we drill soon, which is guaranteed, we will have to raise money via private placement or through shareholders to carry out this task. Id expect management to undertake a private placement as we will probably only need enough to drill the specified targets.lWhen we drill and hit low grade results, I'd expect our market cap to increase to about $25 million giving us $0.015-$0.02 cents per share.
If we are lucky to hit a decent target of nickel copper, we should see a run into the $0.15 to $0.20 cent range.
If we hit a major target, I'd expect a run towards $0.50 cents, then further drilling would occur to extend the market cap and share price.
I personally cannot see any further decrease from here as rigs will arrive in the short term, management will be heavily involved in spruiking the broking houses, placements may be carried out by the big players in town and sentiment will change as announcing to the market that our rigs are set to drill the targets soon.
Could we be the next Nova discovery? That is the big question. If we are, your holding will produce a nice return, but if the return I'm expecting happens, you will wish you had several more shares to watch the return grow in multiples beyond your dreams.
I'm holding a parcel of 25 million and building on this as I can't see anything less than $0.05 cents in the coming 6 months. That's the most conservative figure I can expect if we hit 1 or 2 percent targets.
Always remember this is a speculative buy. I've sacked too many brokers to remember as you and I are a number on the books to make money out of.. Speak directly to management you invest in and ask the big questions. You soon learn to sift through the bullshit and decipher the truth.
Ashburton management are as professional as they come and will provide their valuable time to discuss your queries. Just keep it quick.
If I am completely wrong, please send your donations to wifeandkidshaveleftme.com.au for someone else. If I'm right on my prediction, send me an email to [email protected].
I'm very bullish on the stock and hope we can all make some serious gains from here.
Investing in this stock is my adventure, it beats climbing a freezing mountain. When you reach the top, you see the view, when we reach the top, we sell the lot and scream with joy.
Now is the time to be brave. Good luck and let's hope we hit pay dirt.
