Chesapeake's acreage was a bulk transaction (as opposed to tiny lease parcels here and there) which included production and reserves, hence the much more expensive figure. Also Chesapeake operating the Joint-Venture land would generally deserve a premium as well. Sinopec got the Chesapeake deal for a steal though I reckon.
