Does anyone know the exact details of Mr. Stroud’s involvement in the vineyard project? I’m a bit confused. Is it the case that Mr. Stroud (the board) used Wavenet cash and shares to buy into a project in which he already held a substantial interest?
What are ‘better than bank interest rates?’ Better than the interest rates that I would get if I walked into my local bank, opened an account and deposited $100 (i.e. almost negligible)? Better than the rate charged by the same bank if I took out a short term loan (i.e. extortionate)? Better than the same institution’s business loan rates? What was the rate?
If it’s the former then why are we lending them money? We have to answer to the ASX now to explain that we’re bailing out the lifeboat by selling Carabella shares (which have been steady now for over three months). If it’s the latter and we’re charging them more than the banks then why don’t they go to the bank for their loans? I hope there’s no conflict of interest here.
Come on Mackum8, no volume?
What about July and August? There was a lot of interest from Mr. Stroud that sent the stock rocketing to over $0.20 for a brief period. You must have shared the excitement of the other shareholders?
Oh, by the way, the ASX didn’t limit their enquiry to concerns over us running out of cash, they’re also concerned over compliance with the listing rules and especially rule 3.1, which deals with immediate notice of material information and states:
“3.1 Once an entity is or becomes aware of any information concerning it that a reasonable person would expect to have a material effect on the price or value of the entity’s securities, the entity must immediately tell ASX that information.”
They were keen to make sure that we understand this particular regulation: can’t think why but I suppose we could argue that we didn’t have a ‘reasonable person’ to hand at the time if they ever had cause to take this further.
