I read with interest comments about WAL's corporate strategy. I'm an investor and don't understand what all the fuss is about. The company has diversified it's investments into property as well as mining. From their Annual Report they sold shares in Carabellla at an average above $1.30 those same shares are trading at 40 cents today. They then spread the company's risk. I have seen so many companies completely wiped off the ASX when there is a downturn in the mining or technology sector. If those companies are not delisted during a downturn then the existing shareholders are inevitably diluted down. The management seem to be moving very quickly with its resource projects,Indonesia and their Selaup project look extremely interesting and could well be a company maker. As far as the sheep go, its common practice to run sheep under vines during the winter period as part of the management practice. If it's making money, who cares...
