webral, most people in this stock (before today that is) viewed the assets in question as being worth much more than the market cap of SRK
SRK either end up with the cash or the assets. If you believe that the assets are worth something than it is a screaming buy, if you are just in it for the cash then you should certainly consider the risks
if D&C dont pay anything, SRK call the loan and take 100% ownership of the assets with plenty of cash to advance them and the opportunity to bring in a new partner
they cant fix what has been done in the past, the money has been lent
