Scimitar Resources Ltd (ASX code: SIM) today announced five of its
exploration licences had been granted by the Department of Primary
Industry and Resources South Australia.
These licences are numbered 3388, 3389, 3390, 3391, and 3392.
This tenement package covers part of the Callabonna Sub-basin,
which is a significant uranium province, hosting the Beverley and
Honeymoon Well sedimentary uranium deposits.
Exploration on the projects will focus on discovering roll front
uranium deposits and will utilise proven techniques including drilling
and gamma down-hole logging.
The company intends to utilise modern geophysical techniques to
identify additional palaeochannels with potential for uranium
mineralisation.
Shares in Scimitar today rose 3.5c to 35.5c.
