MM,
"Ramping" refers to a deliberate attempt to interfere with the free and fair operation of the market and create artificial, false or misleading appearances with respect to the price of, or market for, a security, commodity or currency according to wikipedia.
Just as a hypothetical example, if a board gave only positive information to shareholders, or manipulated the flow of information to give a false sense of the future of the company or gave selected pieces of only positive information to certain shareholders, while denying others the information through a public announcement and with the specific intent to manipulate the price higher, perhaps for the purposes of getting shareholders to participate in an SPO, that might be considered ramping.
In light of the wikipedia definition, we must all consider the accusation by the (now fired by the board) auditors of "creating a false market". Can anyone explain how this can be anything other than what it appears to be on face value? Why has the company not explained how this is something less serious than it appears to be?
Oh no....more questions which won't be answered.
