I think the reason why Virgin could not buy REX is that they are struggling running their own finances. Virgin are 1.8 billion dollars in debt with 70 odd million dollars worth of interest it needs to pay each year. REX on the other hand owns just about everything. We happen to be far more secure than QF and DJ put together. I have worked with international and regional airlines for nearly 35 years. Virgin need cash and they need it desperately.
