I hope that they win the shootout - I would prefer to take the risk than any short term trading profits should we lose the shootout. They have a good team and much of the groundwork has been done.
Read all the past quarterly statements to see what and where funds have been spent - nothing out of the ordinary here for a project like this. Keep in mind that there has been a lot of delays as they had to 'start again' and then to recommence the community/environmental approval processes all over again - they have always been up front about the length of time that this was going to take. They have always stated that 2012 was the year to recommence the drilling and have the first approvals in place. They are on track as far as I can see.
I am looking forward to owning this stock once they own 100% of AF, up to 49(ish)% of Cuervo and both companies are drilling and a full and very experienced team is in place (as it now is). This was stated to be in place by mid 2012. As I said right on track - so why wish to get out now?
The only thing that concerns me is how SRK is going to finance if they win. Coming to us is not a good option whilst the share price is so low. I will put my faith that they are working on something here. Let'e hope and we will know soon enough. A very exciting time for the company is 2012 either way.
