Its segments include Silex Systems, Translucent and Silex USA. Silex Systems is based in New South Wales and Translucent and Silex USA are based in North Carolina. The SILEX technology has been under development for uranium enrichment jointly with exclusive licensee Global Laser Enrichment LLC. It is also focused on the development of additional commercial applications of the SILEX technology, including the production of Zero-Spin Silicon for the emerging technology of silicon-based quantum computing.
